Phosphate-Bonded High Alumina Bricks
Corundum Phosphate-Bonded High-Wear Brick, grade 1550
A corundum-containing phosphate-bonded high-alumina brick (Al₂O₃ ≥ 72 %) with high abrasion resistance for transition zones of cement kilns and high-temperature zones of lime and magnesium kilns.
Overview
Corundum-containing phosphate-bonded high-alumina brick with Al₂O₃ ≥ 72 %, Fe₂O₃ ≤ 2.0 %, RUL ≥ 1550 ℃ (0.2 MPa, 0.6 %) and abrasion loss ≤ 3.6 cm³.
Applications
- Upper and lower transition zones of cement rotary kilns
- High-temperature zones of lime and magnesium-metal kilns (subject to kiln conditions)
- High-temperature zone of hazardous-waste incineration kilns
Where it is used in the kiln
- Lime rotary kiln · High-temperature / burning zone (subject to kiln conditions)
- Magnesium-metal (dolomite) rotary kiln · High-temperature / burning zone (subject to kiln conditions)
- Zinc-oxide (Waelz) kiln · Burning / reaction zone (subject to kiln conditions)
- Waste-incineration rotary kiln · High-temperature zone
- Cement rotary kiln · Upper transition zone (subject to kiln conditions)
- Cement rotary kiln · Lower transition zone (subject to kiln conditions)
Storage and installation
Phosphate-bonded bricks must be kept dry: cover them in transit and in storage.

FAQ
Why do RUL values appear as T0.5 or T0.6?
They come from different methods: YB/T 370 (non-differential) reports T0.6, GB/T 5989 / ISO 1893 (differential) reports T0.5, and the two cannot be converted. Jinxing's current data are reported at 0.2 MPa / 0.6 % deformation (T0.6).
Are the data-sheet values guaranteed?
Unless marked "Spec", values are typical and for reference only; each shipment is supplied with its own inspection report.
Why must phosphate-bonded bricks be kept dry?
Unfired or low-temperature-treated phosphate-bonded bricks can lose strength when they absorb moisture, so they must be stored and shipped protected from rain and humidity and installed promptly.
